What does this Privacy Policy cover?

This Privacy Policy covers CheckN’s treatment of personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") that CheckN gathers when you use or access CheckN's Services. Also, this Policy covers CheckN’s treatment of any Personal Information that CheckN’s business partners share with CheckN. This policy does not apply to the practices of CheckN’s that CheckN does not own or control, or to individuals that CheckN does not employ or manage.

What personal information does CheckN collect?

The information we gather from customers enables us to personalize and improve our services. We collect the following types of information from our customers.

Personal Information You Provide to Us:

We receive and store any information you enter on our Services provide to us in any other way (for example your name, email address, location, and usage data). You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our special features. • Generally, our service automatically collects usage information, such as the numbers and frequency of visitors to our site and its components, similar to TV ratings that indicate how many people watched a particular show. CheckN only uses this data in aggregate form, that is, as a statistical measure, and not in a manner that would identify you personally. This type of aggregate data enables us to figure out how often customers use parts of the Services so that we can make the Services appealing to as many customers as possible, and improve those services. As part of this use of information, we may provide aggregate information to our partners about how our customers, collectively, use our site. We share this type of statistical data so that our partners also understand how often people use their services and our Services, so that they, too, may provide you with an optimal online experience. Again, CheckN never discloses aggregate information to a partner in a manner that would identify you personally.

• Many companies offer programs that help you to anonymously use or visit websites or applications. While CheckN will not be able to provide you with a personalized experience if we cannot recognize you, we want you to be aware that these programs are available.

Our app ("CheckN: Social in Social Media") collects the following types of information from its users:

• Images and Videos: The App may access and collect images, videos or photos that you choose to upload or share within the App.
• Contact Information: When you create an account or update your profile, the App may collect your phone number or email address for the purpose of account verification, communication, and enabling social features. This information is securely stored and used solely for the intended purposes.
• Uploaded Content: The App collects the photos and videos you choose to upload or share within the App. This content may be visible to other users according to your privacy settings.
• Personal Details: The App may collect certain personal details such as your name and age to create and manage your user profile.
• Friends List: The App may collect and store information about the friends you connect with on the platform. This information enables social interactions within the App and allows you to connect with your chosen contacts.

In addition we also collects certain data for analytical purposes to enhance user experience and improve our services. This data may include:

1. User Install and App Usage: The App collects information related to user installations, such as the source of installation (e.g., app store) and the device type. Additionally, we collect data on how and when users open the app, as well as the frequency of app usage. This information helps us understand user preferences and optimize the performance of the App.
2. Advertisement Interactions: The App may collect data on the advertisements you interact with, including the ads you view, click, or engage with in any way. This data is used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and to provide you with relevant ads based on your interests.

4. Types of Venues and Check-ins: If you choose to share your location or use location-based features, the App may collect data on the types of venues you visit and how frequently you visit them. Additionally, if you opt to check-in to a venue, the App may collect data on the duration of your stay. This information assists in providing location-specific content and enhancing social interactions. If you choose to share your location or tag the venues you visit, the App may collect information about the venues you have visited. This information is used to provide location-based features and enhance your user experience.

Please note that the App adheres to strict security measures to protect your information. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties unless required by law or with your explicit consent.

E-mail Communications:

We often receive a confirmation when you open an e-mail from CheckN if your computer supports this type of program. CheckN uses this confirmation to help us make e-mails more interesting and helpful. We also compare our customer list to lists received from other companies, in an effort to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our customers. What About Cookies?

• Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our site are visited and by how many people. CheckN cookies do not collect Personal Information, and we do not combine the general information collected through cookies with other Personal Information to tell us who you are or what your screen name or email address is.
• Most browsers have an option for turning off the cookie feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allowing you to decide on acceptance of each new cookie in a variety of ways. We strongly recommend that you leave the cookies activated, however, because cookies enable you to take advantage of some of the most attractive features of our Services.

Will CheckN share any of the personal information it receives?

Personal Information about our customers is an integral part of our business. We neither rent nor sell your Personal Information to anyone. We share your Personal Information only with the subsidiaries that are under control of CheckN and as described below.

• Affiliates: We are affiliated with a variety of businesses and work closely with them. In certain situations, these businesses market or sell items to you through CheckN's Services. In other situations, CheckN provides services, or sells products jointly with affiliated businesses. You can easily recognize when an affiliated business is associated with your transaction, and we will share customer information that is related to such transactions with that affiliated business.

• Agents: We employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your information with them to provide products or services to you. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, analyzing data, and processing credit card payments. Unless we tell you differently, CheckN’s agents do not have any right to use Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us. Moreover, if CheckN, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, customer information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquiror of CheckN may continue to use your Personal Information as set forth in this policy.

• Protection of CheckN and Others: We may release Personal Information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with that law; enforce or apply our conditions of use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of CheckN, our employees, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

• With Your Consent: Except as set forth above, you will be notified when your Personal Information may be shared with third parties, and will be able to prevent the sharing of this information.

Is personal information about me secure?

Your CheckN account Personal Information is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You need ensure unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

We use industry-standard software to protect the security of your Personal Information during transmission. This software encrypts all of the information you input.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

What personal information can I access?

CheckN allows you to access the following information about you for the purpose of viewing, and in certain situations, updating that information. This list will change as our Services changes.

• Profile Information: You can access and view the information in your user profile, including your name, age, and any additional details you have provided.

• Uploaded Content: You can access and view the photos, videos, or other content that you have uploaded to CheckN.

• Contact Information: You can access and view the contact information associated with your account, such as your phone number or email address.

• Friends List: You can access and view the list of friends you have connected with on CheckN.

• Messaging History: You can access and view your messaging history, including the messages you have sent and received through the app.

To access the above information, please follow the provided means of access within CheckN:

• Profile Information: Go to your profile settings or account settings within the app to view and update your profile information.

• Uploaded Content: Navigate to your media library or gallery section within the app to access and manage your uploaded content in your profile.

• Contact Information: Visit the account settings or profile settings to view and update your contact information in the profile section.

• Friends List: CheckN provides a dedicated section within the app where you can view and manage your friends list within your profile.

• Messaging History: Access your messaging inbox or chat history within the app to view your past conversations.

What choices do I have?

• As stated previously, you can always opt not to disclose information to use, even though it may be needed to take advantage of certain CheckN features.

• You are able to add or update certain information on pages, such as those listed in the “What Personal Information Can I Access” section above. When you update information, however, we often maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records.

• You may request deletion of your CheckN account by sending an e-mail to info@checkn.com. Please note that some information may remain in our records after deletion of your account

• If you do not wish to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please indicate email us. Please note that if you do not want to receive legal notices from us, such as this Privacy Policy, those legal notices will still govern your use of the CheckN Services, and you are responsible for reviewing such legal notices for changes.

• As explained earlier, the majority of browsers allow you to monitor and restrict our use of cookies. Please note, however, that if do not cookies, you will not be able to take advantage of some of our attractive features.

CheckN may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used.
